Normally I use flowering currant branches for my 'Easter tree' but they are going past it a bit so I got Nigel to cut me some twisted willow for a change. It's rather pretty but the twisted aspect makes it interesting to get into a vase. The little bird came from a new Danish shop called Tiger. When it opened I did a lot of tutting about 'tat' but I'm a convert. The birds were one of the most expensive items in there at 6 for £2 and of course I got fluffy chicks for the Easter cake as well. The red cushion is a bit of a distraction in this photo but when I removed it the shots somehow didn't work as well so there it is....
Apologies for being a bit AWOL on the commenting front - Easter busyness and I've got a bit of a throat-ear thing going on that is making me feel a bit 'off'.
Three GT:
1. Fab lamb roast if I say it myself.
2. A walk in the rain during which I had NO access to chocolate.
3. Make your own tea tonight....
I love the composition here including the red cushion! Soft and silky background and focus on the dear little chick! That's not expensive- 6 for 2pounds?
Pork roast in the oven here.... Hope you feel on rather than off tomorrow.
