And jump! by judithg

And jump!

Rachel has been on her own in her university house for much of this term while the exams are on - her friends prefer revising at home & she works better there but it is rather lonely. So Nigel & I went up to take her out for lunch today. We had a nice walk along the canal into town. This girl was sitting on the paws of the 'creature' and looked very pretty in her hijab, making a lovely profile of the two. So I was disappointed when she stood up while I was getting my camera out - and then she jumped. There was a smallish plinth to land on and then another big drop which she also jumped. Mum looked a bit stressed but she was nimble.
3GT:
1. Seeing my lovely daughter - back home in two weeks :0)
2. My lovely son stayed at home revising and walked the dog in the pouring rain. He fed him 'lunch' at 2pm not realising that he doesn't get lunch. He said, 'He seemed quite excited so I was suspicious and took it away. And then he looked sad so I gave it back.'
3. Rain there and back but sunshine in Brum.
A canal shot in Extras.
Sweet, re: feeding the dog ...

@boxplayer I know but the dog is nearly 7 so you can tell how often he feeds him!

What nice composition in this action shot.

Oh I so love that about feeding the dog. It has rained almost all day here and we are only about 30 miles from Birmingham. Next time you are there you ought to pop in!

Wish I could jump like that! And Monty has evidently got the food situation sussed in your absence............

@jantan oh yes - we should detour to paradise! It was really wet up until Coventry and then the sun came out in Brum and on the way home the clouds came down around Coventry and it was wet the rest of the way home (I think - I was asleep for quite a bit of it!) You were just in the wrong place.

You'd be very welcome, but I think you may have to lower your expectations somewhat.

@jantan wet paradise?

@rosiekind As Rachel says it's not often that Birmingham is the best place to be! @jantan Don't forget we've got Selly Oak for comparison!

hmmm, OK I get you

what a cool shot, silliness with cool building
May 26th, 2014
Wonderful visual contradiction, such levity amongst the solidly formal structures.

This is really cool. Great capture of the action.
