The Fatsia in my garden is a godsend for insects at the moment. There was a bee, a wasp, a hover fly and, yes, a big fat fly on there this dreary November afternoon. I tried taking Monty out for a walk, met four separate friends while still on my own road and by the time I'd done a lot of chatting Monty was refusing to carry on (he was reluctant to start with). So we went home and did some ball chasing in the garden instead.
I am delighted to report that the decorating is almost complete. :0) And the calendar is almost complete. :0) And the ironing cannot be ignored much longer :0(
A brilliantly sharp capture and great dof. I don't actually like it, given it's a fly, but will nevertheless fav it because I think it's a really good image. Glad progress has been made with the decorating.
This looks incredible. I didn't realise fatsia flowers were so pretty. How big does it grow? We were thinking of getting one for the church garden for the flower arrangers.
Lovely macro shot Judith....looks particularly good on that fower which I have never heard of.....great contrast of colours& he is a handsome colour no doubt about it. I laughed when I read how far you & Monty had walked......you got some fresh air anyway!
