I love these birds, I never tire of watching their graceful flight and am constantly taking photos. With turquoise water below, this particularly golden bird seemed to glow in the midday sun.
The golden bosun bird is endemic to Christmas Island. The silver bosun also found here is mow widely distributed
@naomi thanks! This is almost a 100% crop of the original - the blue is actually the sea, I was at a lookout on a hill overlooking the sea! The water in the cove below is indeed a gorgeous colour.
