Christmas Tree Worms - yet another underwater macro

These are Spirobranchus giganteus, a species of tube worm. The spirals which give them their common name, seen protruding from the tube are part of the creatures respiratory system and retract into the tube if they are alarmed. I missed out on getting a shot including yellow, blue and pink ones due to their nervousness
Fab shot! Never knew such things existed - I learn something new every day!
