Another Big(biggish) thing - great white shark at pirate Mini Golf at Maru Koala and Wildlife Park
It always strikes me as an odd idea to have large shark effigies near seaside resorts (where sharks are often found). Do the holidaying public want to be reminded of sharks before they go swimming?
Whilst technically this is not a "Big Thing" - it is not called or known as the Big Shark (and all of my other big things are called The Big ...." it is another large and rather baffling man-made tourist attraction
hey I just told my kids that everyone has eaten a spider..if they wake up with a bad taste in their mouths, they ate a spider........ we do things to freak people out. The shark looks more realistic than the one they used for Jaws at least!
Cool shot.
@voodoochild lol - my 7 yo nephew told us he had eaten a fly the other day - it was an unusual conversation opener.
I really like all the bizarre tourist attraction like this and the big things - they amuse me and doing the series of them on here has been fun collecting the shots and discovering the relevance of them.
It is strange that we do this kind of thing (so many BIG things in Oz). We had 7 shark sightings a couple of days ago and the beaches were closed all down the coast, i think i'll stick to my pool:) Great shot:)
Maybe not technically a "Big" thing, but it sure is neat! I like the pose with that backward arch . . . would make me think twice about going for a swim though! Nice shot. Curious how this 365 will end . . .
Strange! The shark doesn't look to happy, so I wouldn't get too close! :) We saw a large bird attraction an Gumbaya Park (on one of the roads from Melbourne -> Gippsland) earlier this week. I didn't get chance for a pic, but thought of you!
Cool shot.

Ohmygosh Megan... that's 364 of 365..... hope you're not counting them...?
