infrared sunny afternoon, looking towards the arboretum
the only post-processing is a slight crop, all the magic happens in camera with a camera adapted to infrared 850nm.
I went on a big ride on my Vespa with camera bag and stopped off for a few shots here and there. I want to share some of the false-colour IR shots taken at between 650-780nm, but they need a lot of post processing to reverse the red and blue colour channels and then fine tuning. I should have done it earlier in the day and am just a little tired at the moment.
This was taken with a Canon powershot G2 where the sensor has been replaced with one that allows the capture of infrared light and blocks (most) visible light.
Cool!!!! I love the clarity it gives. Oh! And my Mum and Dad went ballooking in Cappadoccia (sp.??) this morning! They called, and I just had to go look at your balloon shots from there so I could imagine where they were!!!
@buggirl - I love Ballooking and I saw a Ballook over Melbourne city yesterday morning. Impressive.
But I lurve the National Arboretum even more, and had the privilege of meeting the team that work there last year and was shown around the intricacies. What a wonderful place to work and what a fantastic idea for the 'berra.
