The pink Vespa goes infrared

Taken from the top of Mt Stromlo, Canberra. It was a cold windy day, riding in strong blustering chilly winds is certainly challenging. I intend to ride through the winter, but I think I will have to get some thermal gear to help keep the chill away.

The only post-processing is a slight crop, all the magic happens in camera with a camera adapted to infrared 850nm.

This was taken with a Canon powershot G2 where the sensor has been replaced with one that allows the capture of infrared light and blocks (most) visible light.

In a Canberra winter, is there enough heat to take infrared shots? This is so cool - I haven't been up Mt Stromlo since I was a kid.

If you are going to be riding that up the hills in winter I think you will need some extra layering. Cool shot, though I like her normal pink color as well.
