It is cold in Canberra now and after a year with no winter I am really feeling the cold, so I am dreaming of warmer times.
In October 2010I was deployed to work in Darwin for three months and was fascinated to experience life in this part of of Australia that I'd not previously seen.
In the dry season months there was an afternoon/evening market by the beach at Mindil. One of the highlights was a long row of food vans selling all sorts of wonderful foods and not just fast/junk foods, I got some sushi, some prawns, and a salad and took it to a spot of sand on the beach joining over a hundred of other people watching the sun set over the sea in Northern Australia. Some like this little boy paddled in the warm water. Not a lot of swimming in the sea up there though - far too man crocodiles and other nasties in the waters
Oh what a wonderful shot! I can't bear to think of there being nasties in the water... it looks too perfect. Love this silhouette and sun and water and... fav!
