Another new data point in BugGuide

Philtraea monillata — a moth with no [common] name … reminding me of an America song

» BugGuide has only 7 verified sightings of this species**;
» BAMONA has 17 verified sightings, but only 4 images.
» If you look at the BAMONA map, they seem to be along the Mississippi River.
» This is the second BugGuide sighting since 2014; only the sixth BAMONA sighting since 1983.
Clearly, not a commonly-seen moth.

» ID’ed as Philtraea monillata at: [ BAMONA ] [ BugGuide ]
» Species pages: [ BAMONA ] [ BugGuide ] [ Wikipedia (not much here!) ]
» Sighting maps: [ BAMONA ] [ BugGuide ] [ MPG ]
