Getting closer!

Only 11 frames today as I now have a stack of 20+ “math-econ” quizzes to grade from the new graduate students, but I'm a bit closer to capturing a Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui) with wings down. (My fifth Painted Lady post: Sorry!)

This is great, Thom! And that background is so pretty! Yesterday, I took a moment to shoot some pics in the outdoor classroom, and got some Yellow Swallowtail pics....they are so obliging...they keep those gorgeous wings open a long time! Haha I was too tired and feeling sick to post them though....sigh. NO time for teachers, right?
