things that say "merry Christmas" - poinsettia

you see it everywhere just as soon as november starts; in ddifferent colours - red, pink, white, cream, and sometimes i see them almost yellow, and also variegated red, green and white combination. i particularly like the yellow variety.

see my yellow poinsettia posting here:

sooc but for the name tag and framing.
Yes! This definitely says "Merry Christmas!" I looked all over town for a Christmas cactus this year . . very hard to find one. Poinsettia were all over the place and beautiful as ever. Great photo, summerfield. It's even prettier with the framing and the detail is fabulous!

Love the red on this one! As for seeing a Christmas Cactus- go to tags and type in the name- I'm sure one will come up. You can google it as well.

@sunnygreenwood - anne, thank you. and after 354 posts, my first one now has a comment. yay!

@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. the red is actually a deep red but the camera captured it as more on the orangey side. i had googled the Christmas cactus and realize it is what we call the 'dragon plant' back in the old country.
