Colour change

When I was given this Hydrangea the blooms were deep blue, they went over and faded to some lovely muted colours, then suddenly a new bud appeared - and it has flowered a different colour!
Very pretty. If I remember correctly the colour has something to do with the acidity of the soil.

Fabulous shot! I agree with Sally, also depends on what fertilizer you use.

The colour is dependent on the acidity of the soil. A gorgeous colour :)

I love this colour - I have many hydrangeas but all of mine are white. Must experiment with the soil PH to see if I can get different colours!

Very nice capture, they are pretty amazing flowers I think, they seem to go through so many different colours and changes.

@salza Yes, the soil does have an impact on the colour, but this is in the same pot, same soil, same everything as when it flowered blue!!

@dawnee Thanks!

@sarahlth Thank Sarah, I am enjoying the colour

@ludwigsdiana Yep, but no changes made! Thank you for your encouraging comments.

@hermann Yep, still in same soil though. I have two horseshoes in the pot to keep them flowering blue in my other one.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Indeed, nature truly is magical Jackie

@gijsje Thanks bep

@danette Thank you!

@farmreporter Me too Wendy! I particularly like the deep blue ones but am enjoying this too.
