Mr P by 365projectorgchristine

Mr P

I love our Mr P he is always keeping our fish tank nice and clean.

The plecostomus is native to South America and is a member of the catfish family. Their mouths have adapted as a survival feature that allow them to attach to rocks in the swift moving streams where they can be found. In captivity, plecos use their mouths to attach to the sides of the tank where algae collects.
Great capture. He looks like something left over from the dinosaur period.

Great info about this fish. Like Renee, I too thought he was prehistoric and I guess his name gives that impression too

I used to call my "Mr P", "Coster"...there is something quite charming about them...something that causes one to watch them for lengths of time!
