Medicine Garden by 365projectorgheatherb

Medicine Garden

Another neighbourhood discovery: the traditional medicine garden created by and for U of T's Indigenous students (and for anyone interested). Pictured here are the four sacred medicines used in smudging ceremonies: sage (top left); sweet grass (middle); tobacco (bottom left); and cedar (bottom right). The ceramic bowl in the centre is used for the burning of these plants (medicines) during smudging ceremonies. I have known about this garden but I have never explored it before. Thanks again to 365 for leading me to new discoveries.
