I came upon this statue as part of the Ontario Fire Fighter Memorial today (where have I been all this time?) Behind the statue is one of several walls inscribed with the names of firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty. (And someone placed a pot of daffodils nearby, now quite bedraggled.)
This is a beautiful and very moving memorial and you’ve captured it really well Heather, I don’t think fire fighters are appreciated as much as they should be so it’s good to see this. Fav.
