This wee fella is Morepork , Ruru or also known as Tasmania spotted owl
Lucky to have him sitting on our fence this afternoon , managed to get within 3 feet .

Yes I read that these lovely birds are not nocturnal but diurnal. Lucky for us as we may get chance to spot one during daylight hours if we are lucky!

How wonderful, I also have an owl shot which I almost posted today. I love to see them when they visit. Ours are nocturnal, so they only come early evening.

Hi Wendy yes 50m lens no cropping he was sitting on our fence and I was able to get within 3 feet .
