river

Youngest and I headed to town for groceries today as frigid Arctic air is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. She wanted to drive up the Monument, but the road was closed, so we took a walk along the river. We trudged through foot deep snow to a spot where I hoped to someday catch a train, and there one was! and then another!! Beautiful afternoon.

What timing, catching the train in its tiny window of opportunity between the trees. My, it looks cold there. The snow sure is beautiful tho.
