Here's one reason I've been absent this week. When I got home from Portland I was greeted with a litter of abandoned barn kittens. When it became obvious their mother was not returning I took them to the vet. Three survived and I am now doing mommy duty. Gads! Babies are so demanding! I'm going to tag this for my get-pushed challenge from Maayke which was to remake a picture from back when I first started. Yep .. lots of kittens then too, and while I like the composition of those from fall of 2012 better, for this image I used back button focus while in Al-Servo, neither of which I knew anything about when I started. Hmmm.. also have the camera on auto ISO which was recommended from those photowalk suggestions. My camera tends to be grainy, though, at higher ISO's. So, though I don't think I've done better, I did do it differently, and I still have some days to fill in and see what else I can come up with.
Mayaake @maaayke Sorry I am behind with this push. Not sure I did better, but I did do it differently. I used auto ISO which I don't quite like when indoors because my camera is grainy. Still, I have some time left to improve.
The eyes are amazing, and so are the long legs. I'm so glad you were able to save some of the kittens--I wonder what happened to the mother. Fav for me.
Oh, what a cute little baby, so beautiful with that orange tabby, marmalade color, and those gorgeous blue eyes! So glad you are taking care of them; I bet they would not survive on their own. She will grow into a big, beautiful kitty to fill those paws!! Love the capture! FAV!
Oh, and I have just started using BBF, and while I am loving it, it does require some getting used to, especially when remembering where to press for focus!! I think it will pay off at the end! I use Auto ISO selectively...
