prairie chicken (sharp tailed grouse)

On occasion when it's quite cold and the snow is deep the pheasants will roost in the trees. When I spotted this bird I thought "pheasant." When I looked at the photo, though, it wasn't. It's a female prairie chicken. Now, if there's a lady around, where is her guy? I'd love to find out as the spring mating dance is quite a display and would be such fun to watch.
