Yet another insect find while mowing. This fellow was in the grass, and I thought it was dead. I carried it over to a juniper, and as soon as it realized it wasn't in danger it began a steady climb up and out of sight. Still had a chance to get a few shots. They've been "singing" now for a month, but I think the old wive's tale is wrong as the forecast is for continued hot and dry weather.
