My push challenge this week is to create a photo of a tree in the middle of a forest. I live about 30 minutes away from the Pine Ridge, some of which is designated as part of the Nebraska National Forest. This forest area is a ponderosa pine woodland with widely spaced ponderosa pine trees and an understory of grasses and shrubs. I've been fascinated by what I thought was one little tree stubbornly growing out of this rock formation, so I thought I'd stop and photograph it. When I looked, though, I see it's two little trees growing there. So, I'm not sure this meets the challenge. I'll be back in this area later in the week so I can have another try. For now, though, it's what I have so far.
The two in the middle are the best part for me. I wonder re cropping from bottom to make a square crop and not have the two so much in the middle of the frame? What do you think?
Jim R @jnr I took this earlier this week but didn't feel it quite fit the challenge. I must admit I am struggling with the "tree in a forest," so I'm going to go ahead and tag it. It doesn't quite fit, but I am trying.
