The snow and wind arrived before dawn. It is nasty out! Everyone and everything is hunkered down, so I was very surprised to see this flicker on the tree outside the bedroom window. This is sheltered from the worst of the winds, and he seemed quite content looking for food and staying out of the driving snow. Pleasant interlude during this "historic" snowstorm.
Wow, how cool! Flickers are on my wish list of photographs but are rarely seen and they don't sit still when they are. Good thing it's got thick down, looks coooold out there!
