forming crystals

It was in the low teens this morning, so I postponed a few chores and spent some time blowing bubbles. This is a great mix! It was from a Popular Science article ... 1/2 cup warm water, 1 tbs corn syrup, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp dish washing detergent. I always use glycerin. Not for this, and these are really strong bubbles. It was barely cold enough for freezing, but that gave me time to focus and watch as the crystals slowly formed. Great way to start the morning!
How amazing, I would love to be able to experience something like this. Beautifully captured.

I'll have to remember this one. I wasn't happy with the crystals I got with glycerin this year! very nice!

Thanks for the recipe. I'm not sure we can get corn syrup here, but there must be something else we can substitute. Not cold enough for freezing of course, unless I put them in the freezer!!
