Discovery

"Raven Discovering Mankind", an extraordinary piece by Bill Reid, found in the Museum of Anthropology in BC. It represents the Haida legend of the Raven finding a clamshell on the beach with small creatures protruding from it. Having gradually coaxed them from their shell, they became the first humans. A fascinating legend from a fascinating people.
