What can I say, it's close to home! One of these days we'll hit the road and shoot the other beaches, such as Moonstone, which are quite spectacular. But for now just another look at a familiar place...
What an unusual sunset!! I love the way the clouds come away from the sun in fingers, transmitting the color in glorious rays between the blue sky!! Your foreground is so interesting and detailed... Beautiful photo...a fav for sure!!
firstly WOW .... secondly, and i figure from all the comments its to do with HDR (no idea what that i so i spose i should google it haha) .... but i want to know, HOW do you get the sky to look so low and make the world seem so closed in ??? this is just stunning :))))
@taidster Thank you!! Basically, HDR (high dynamic range) is a process where you take several shots, all of different exposures, on a tripod. All images are then "merged", so to speak, to capture a much larger range of light and color and detail. To get the "low" sky, I had my camera about 6 inches off the ground, pointing more toward the foreground. I really appreciate your kind comments!
