Another one for the "More" album. Still trying to teach myself the ins and outs of HDR, and how to process the sky in particular. I have color banding in nearly every shot so I really need to figure out the tweaks to smooth it out better. Lots more learning to do! In the meantime, here's another attempt from the Grover Beach dunes.
@wahyusp Thanks, Wayhu! Yup, am using Photomatix and still trying to figure out the minutia of all the settings. So easy to use and yet really tricky to get things "just right!" I've also tried the trial version of Nik HDR pro which is cool, too. Maybe someday I'll fork out the dough for that as well as it seems to have a good deal more presets to adjust. It might be interesting to compare results between the two programs. :-)
Oh, I love this one! So wish I was near the beach to get some good waterside shots. Will have to take a trip in Spring to Durdle Door and Devon/Cornwall areas.... so jealous! Fantastic shot here :-)
i really like this versino more than yesterdays i think. Compostition is great and the HDR is quite subtle - i can see HDR is going to suck up loads of my time too!
I love the depth you have achieved in this photo, and the editing is awesome. Some great colors and the lighting is nice and soft, bringing out so many of its beautiful details.
Gosh Jen - just magnified this and there ain't no banding visible to me - it only looks crazily beauitful - kind of other wordly with that almost white sand, that one pink bloom and those peachy tinges to the sky
@cary HDR stand for High Dynamic Range. Very basically, it's a processing method by which multiple exposures are combined to produce the highest range of colors and tones. :-)

THANK YOU kind and wonderful peeps!!! :-)
