Saint Francis in the snow

I was a little slow in taking this picture, so the statue of St. Francis is a bit more snow-covered than I wanted. In fact, my husband said it looks more like Katherine Hepburn in "Lion in Winter" The blur at the bottom is the snow still falling. It is expected to last all day. I imagine there will be lots of opportunity for picturesque snow scenes for the next few days.

cool picture. It looks like he has a beard and a pointed white hat. We always had a St. Francis in our garden growing up. He was my mom's patron saint.
