Birthday Girl by allie912

Birthday Girl

Today is our daughter's birthday. She is a pastry chef in Boston. (Hence the chef's coat and the Red Sox hat) It seems like only a minute ago that she was a sturdy toddler keeping us hopping. Now she has a very full life with a great husband and friends. We are looking forward to seeing her this summer and eating some of her great desserts!
I like the then and now side by side! Nice.

I set alarm to get up early and check out the west end farmer's market Holly told me about...but if I don't get off the computer soon, that isn't going to happen! LOL

Happy, Happy birthday to your daughter. I love how you included the little girl photo with the adult photo. My daughter will be a 40 this year -- but it certainly seems like only yesterday that she was a toddler.

What a sweet slice of "onion", Alli, to meet your daughter on her birthday! (Happy Birthday, Meg!) Your paried photo is just wonderful; I wish I'd thought of that back on Jan 30th! How proud you must be that she's got a good life, family and a carreer that would be the envy of many! What more could a mother ask?

"Make Way for Ducklings" is one of the earliest books I can remember from my childhood. I love seeing yellow signs posted up in NS with Duck silhouettes where they cross! And yes, I've seen the darling bronze duck statues in the boston Commons...You might not be surprised I have a (film) picture of it...somewhere...

What a great shot...or should I say shots? These are both wonderful and such a great way to celebrate your daughter's birthday! :-)

Thanks so much for your comments on my Dad's Rocker and Orange Flower (and yes, you're right! It does look like something on a tapestry!). It's been so hard to catch up with everyone after being away for a week, but just had to let you know I appreciated your checking in with me. :-)

Hi Allison, I can't belive I have not commented on your photos for so long.
I seem to be getting on the computer later and later at night & I visit so many, that I think I've commented and I haven't.
Hope that is clear to you :D.
So you will get heaps of comments now fron your shots!
