Last night we had dinner in a cozy neighborhood restaurant that was last year's Restaurant of the Year in Richmond. It's focus is on local fresh food. The menu changes daily and my choice was Rock Shrimp cakes. In this region crab cakes are quite common but these patties were unusual, made with shrimp and no discernible filler. Since I ordered the small plate, I expected some dainty little morsels. Instead I was served these two hearty cakes with a remoulade sauce, accompanied by local greens. As you can imagine, I could eat only one and had the second for dinner tonight. My caption says it all.
This looks amazing! Which restaurant are you referring to? I love going to different places in Richmond that I haven't been to before - I get tired of the same ol', same ol' after a while!
