My friend and colleague Karen and I have a lot of common interests, including photography. Many of you on 365 know her as @hwy61. Another interest we share is bluegrass music. The other day I stopped by as Karen was playing a new CD she had bought of a local group. I asked about it, we chatted a moment and then I returned to the library. Today she surprised me with my very own copy! I still haven't unwrapped it. I thought I would wait til Thursday. Doesn't it look pretty tucked into our display of holiday books?
Allison, I know you will be listening for the mandolin but you have to pay attention to Chris on the fiddle. He is just amazing!
@catwoman2 - Mary, you are right...though I love bluegrass, blues is right up there, too. I am a Dylan fan (Hwy 61 Revisited) Hwy 61 is known as the "blues hwy" and was the route the old bluesmen traveled starting out in Chicago and playing at "juke joints" along the way all the way down south to New Orleans.
@bruni@digitalrn@sarasdadandmom - Bruni, Rick and Terry...hello to all of you...miss you all. (Allison - thanks for allowing me to catch up with some of our mutual friends here ;-)

For anyone interested, here is a nice NPR spot about saving the blues hwy - http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=114319924
