A neighbor hosted an informational meeting for two candidates for the mayor and our local district city council seat for the city of Richmond. The mayoral candidate (bottom left in the plaid shirt) is in close competition with a candidate who has so many black marks on his record, it is astonishing he is even eligible to run. As a lawyer he was cited for contempt of court ten times and was jailed or arrested five times. He was disbarred, then reinstated, but still can't practice law in federal court. He was also indicted on felony charges of indecent liberties with a minor, possession and distribution of child pornography, and electronic solicitation of a minor, in addition to a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, for which conviction he served three months of a 12-month sentence. After being convicted, he resigned as a delegate at the Virginia House. And these charges don't include the public cursing and brawling he has also participated in.
For these reasons it is a no brainer to throw my support to Jack Berry who has a long history of service to Richmond.
Unfortunately, In this crazy political climate I am not convinced good sense will prevail.
The choice sounds undeniably clear!!! One would have to have had a slip-up lobotomy to cast a vote for the opponent, and it sounds as though the opponent is a city nightmare! If I were local, I'd be on your candidate's team!
@allie912 ...not a good idea! ...Trump may not be the ideal, but this other fellow clearly has a very dark and ugly past with little to recommend him! I believe we've already seen that sort of mayor lay waste to Detroit and (Washington?), I think...
