Although Christmas gifts are not expected by "special" teachers (librarian, music teacher, art teacher, etc.) parents will sometimes want to show their appreciation through small gifts like baked goods or gift cards. Starbucks cards have almost become legal tender at holiday time! I am not a coffee drinker, but there are always other fun items to choose. One year I got this mug for my husband. I've also bought books and music. And don't forget their great selection of tea products.
There's nothing better! We have a Starbucks in my library and it was like taking a pay cut when they opened up. So I love it when someone gives me a gift card. (I have *earned* my gold card during the past year though!)
I think that is a wonderful way to say we appreciate what your doing for my child. Too often parents take them for granted. It is not expected but much appreciated.
Wow. Remind me of the time I received a $10 Starbucks gift card from one of my client's when I was an Investment Advisor. And, because of the regulations in the industry, I had to send it back.
But, not to worry, the cell phone companies can rob you blind daily with no real regulation to speak of. Ow, did I just say that?
