John has been reading an old book on the Korean War that he bought online from a used book store. He found this drug store receipt, dated from 1985, tucked into the pages. I checked the address and the drug store is still at the same location.
You'll note at the bottom that customers are reminded to save their receipts for tax purposes, but i think this is taking it a bit too far.
Can you imagine a perscription costing only $2.00 in 1985? Have they gone up that much that quickly? Funny how a little piece of paper can really spark the imagination!
very cool. the things we can find in old books! I have actually saved some of my mom's receipts and grocery and "to do" lists...It seems to keep her closer to the "living", if that makes any sense.
