A freak storm rolled through Richmond yesterday and we lost power last night about 8 PM until it was finally restored about 3 PM today (Tuesday) My school was also without power so camp was cancelled for the day. With no work, no computer and my eyes burning from hours of reading, I walked to the condo pool to take pictures. The resident gardener happened to be watering at the time, so he gave me a tour, pointing out some interesting plants and experiments with cultivation he was trying. My eyes and camera were drawn to the gorgeous day lilies he had planted around the pool so I made them the subject of today's collage.
What fun to get the scoop about the cultivation around you...looks as though it's going well! What a long time to be without power... Did you flip the light switch a few times out of habit?!
@Weezilou The funny thing was that our neighborhood had weathered the storm at 3 PM Monday with no real damage, only to lose power at 8 PM long after the storm had left the area. Can't figure out why the delay but it does make you appreciate the niceties of daily life. Fortunately the weather gods tried to make amends by giving us a day of perfect sunny, low humidity weather. No need for air conditioning at all.
