According to the Museum fact sheet, this installation is part of a series that began when Chihuly woke up one day wanting to use all 300 colors that were available to him in the hotshop. Twelve Macchia are presented on metal stands enabling visitors to embark upon a journey of color, shape and form. I love what appears to be a snow-covered Christmas tree rising from the center of the display.
