Hangin' Around

I caught sight of these in a neighbor's yard. I used my zoom to capture the detail. They are actually quite small. Definitely too small to be a bird house.

I guess they are for decoration only- but you'd be surprised how small birds can become if they want to fit into a tight space! Nice capture.

I wonder if it is some kind of bug hibernation place? You can buy all sorts of tubes and hollow for ladybirds, lacewings etc. Curious but makes an interesting shot.
