Celebration Dinner by allie912

Celebration Dinner

Although John is still not 100%, I decided to go ahead with dinner plans. Tomorrow I go back to work and food preparation gets pushed to the back burner. This is the table setting given to me by my friend and colleague Susan. I already had the red cutlery to accompany the red plates! The dinner menu included boneless pork with mushrooms and tomatoes in a balsamic vinegar reduction, garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli with lemon. The celebration was in honor of the Seattle Seahawks football team winning the first play-off game on the way to the Super Bowl. My interest in the Seattle team is one shared by many Richmonders. The star of the team is rookie quarterback, Russell Wilson, a young man who graduated from my school. We have all been following his career with great pride. You can too. Just google his name.
Yum!! That looks totally delicious ...and such a beautiful setting. Great photo. Enticing meal.

That looks delicious, I'm not normally a fan of mushrooms, but I feel like I would at least try those.
