Forty-plus students and their accompanying teachers, from all over the world – China, India, Mexico, Spain, South Africa, Israel, Argentina, Italy, Morocco and several other nations – gathered during the Third Annual International Emerging Leaders Conference at my school to hear from prominent scholars and share their ideas, experiences and solutions, in a setting of respect and collaborative learning.
Today was the final day for the visiting students to be on campus and they spent much of it at the Lower School--at a town meeting in classrooms and after school, at a cultural fair. Here are a few pictures of visiting students entertaining our Lower Schoolers with songs and dances of their countries. Tomorrow the visitors are off to Washington DC. They are trying to be optimistic that the government shutdown won't ruin their visit to the nation's capitol.
