I saw one of these birds in the UK at a pub on the way to Finchingfield with my Great Aunt Ethel while we were having lunch... such tiny little things, but very pretty.
@mozette Actually Linda, I think the American robin is bigger than the English robin. It is in the thrush family. I guess colonists must have given it the name "robin" due to the similarity of the red chest.
@allie912 so do i allison, ours are really friendly too, i used to have one in our garden who would sit a few feet away from me when i was cleaning the rabbits, chirping at me to put some food out for him
