Originally this school-wide tribute for our departing head of school was planned for the football field under bright sunny skies, but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. So here we are in the Athletic Center, listening to New Orleans-style jazz while the school mascot glad-hands the crowd. This was followed by remarks from our departing leader, tributes by school representatives, choral music from all three school divisions and a rousing version of the Alma Mater. We still have a month of school but sometimes it is better to say your good-byes before the craziness of those final days. We will all miss the wise leadership and far-seeing vision of Mr. Evans who has been our school head for 15 years. We wish him the best in the next chapter of his career in Atlanta, GA.
It's always hard to say good-bye to a good leader. But I am sure your school has found the right person to catch the baton and move the school forward. Congratulations to Mr. Evans on a job well-done!
