I ran out of patience before this little sparrow did. I had seen him fly out of the bluebird box, so I got ready to grab a shot of him entering. But he was too cagy for me. He drifted around, finding perches on a nearby fence, the top of a post and a neighboring tree branch, but he just didn't want me to know where home was. I finally had to leave the garden. I'll bet he popped into the birdhouse opening within seconds of my departure. Curses! Outsmarted by a bird!
