This watch dog began yapping the minute he first spotted me and went ballistic the closer I got. I surmised that he was held back by an "invisible fence" which is a wireless containment system that controls a pet by means of slight electric shocks received through a collar worn by the dog. I can't think of any other reason he wouldn't have charged through the gate directly at me, the threat. For whatever reason, I was glad to get my picture and move on.
Well Allison, I will tell you that there are some dogs who have mastered the art of overcoming the shock, you know, biting the bullet and just making a go for it. You never know
We have one of these in our neighborhood, too---a dog surrounded by an invisible fence. He's about the only dog or cat around here that I haven't caught a photo of yet. This reminds me to do that next time I see him :-) Love your caption and a great shot of him.
