I finally got all the Kindles ready to go ( http://365project.org/allie912/whatintheworld/2016-04-14) and delivered them to this Fourth Grade class. We had to switch over to the Amazon education program in order to manage 24 copies of the same book. It is more costly than our original plan, but much easier to administer.
The students were anxious to get started reading Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt, a real children's classic. The ability to add notes and access a dictionary from within the book adds to the students' enjoyment. As a librarian, I support anything that encourages reading. From the expressions on the faces of these boys and girls, I think they will be real e-readers themselves!
