I am a member of a FB group interested in the history of Redding,CT. We moved there when I was in Third Grade and my parents, then my father, lived there til his death in 1995. The house dated to Revolutionary days and still had the original wide floor boards and wavy glass in the windows. There was even an outhouse and a chicken coop in the back yard when we moved in.
Thanks to the diligence of the town historian, I was able to learn more about the house, even seeing one picture from 1937 on the left. The picture in the middle is very much how the house looked when we lived there although this was a few years later and finally, the house as it is now. So many memories! It is satisfying seeing it so well cared for.
