On Christmas Eve morning a lovely arrangement of tulips, hydrangeas and roses was delivered, sent by my daughter and her family. Although after a week the tulips lost their vigor and the hydrangea has gradually dried, the roses endure. It has been two weeks and they remain perfectly frozen in time. Ultimately they too will die, but this wonderful picture will remain.
