After today’s lecture, we were invited to sample fruit-flavored mead distilled from honey gathered from local bees. The choices were apple and blueberry. I had never tasted mead before. It is history’s first fermented beverage. I am no expert, but the Apple had a light fizzy flavor, like cider with a kick.
