My husband bought the Sleep Machine on the left from the Hammacher Schlemmer catalog in the late ‘60’s. It was top of the line and cost a pretty penny. It had 2 settings — soft hum and loud hum.
Fast Forward to the present and check out the current example of a sleep enhancing device. This one was available from Amazon for a fraction of the price. It plays lullabies, bird whistles, rain, thunder, crashing waves, locomotive sounds, crickets and other sounds I probably haven’t discovered yet.
