I posted a picture not too long ago of this fig tree flourishing in the church courtyard. Last Sunday I was startled to see the tree had broken branches. I assumed they would soon be removed They were still there this morning, but on closer inspection, the downed branches were actually vibrant and covered with figs .but, at the base of the tree was a black spot that appeared to be evidence of lightning. I’m not sure what the final decision will be for broken limbs. Maybe wait til the figs are harvested?
