Barry Lopez in 'Horizons' talks of 'talismanic reminders' or mementos of times and places, and this still-life is one collection of my talismans: a silk fan my grandmother painted, together with a wooden hair comb from Cape Nelson PNG, in a vase given me by my father. The Tasmanian myrtle box was made for me by a friend. I found the piece of glass paddling in the sea at St Jean de Luz in France and the stone is from Gantheaume Point in Broome WA, given me by an auntie there. All carry embedded memories.
I haven't been doing this project long but sometimes I find it difficult to know what to photograph especially as, at the moment, I am not going far. So, I am trying to do some 'everyday' shots', things that are part of my daily life and view. @leggzy
